ABOUT FAT GLENN'S FISH
Fat Glenn's Fish can best be described as a boutique scale breeder or African Rift Lake Cichlids.
I built my fish room AKA “The Shed” back in late 2007 and over the next few years filled it up with custom built tanks designed to handle the various facets of being a fish breeder. I am a registered business and have traded these 15 years under the name Fat Glenn’s Fish.
The Road To Now
Ever since I was a child I have been fascinated by aquatic life. This included shell collecting and reading every book I could find about sharks. I also used to spend hours catching tadpoles, yabbies and fishing in general. I got my first tank when I was 16 and have pretty much had one ever since. The interest in fish remained despite my career taking me in different directions but nearly 40 years on I’m still a fish keeper at heart.
Ethical Breeding
I have done my best to source clean and straight bloodlines of all the fish I keep and breed. My philosophy is to selectively breed these lines always with a view towardslooking as close to the way it looks in the wild as possible. Sometimes this means culling and IMO it should always mean quality over quantity.
Fish Keeping 101
I am a huge believer in paying respect to the needs of any fish to give it the best possible life under my care. This means sticking to the water parameters that apply. It also means the right diet being used., in essence good food plus good water equals good fish.

cAN YOU SEND ME A PICTURE OF THE FISH?
No, in my experience this is a complete waste of my time. I understand that it is nice to see what you are going to buy but it is not feasible for me to be sending pics out on an ad-hoc basis. It is my intention to eventually upload a video for each species I am working with so that you can make your decisions from there.
cAN YOU HOLD THEM UNTIL NEXT MONTH?
Once I list fish on the site the fish go to the first person who commits to payment.
cAN i COME AND LOOK AT THE FISH BEFORE I BUY?
I am operating this as an online store in order to maximise the time I can spend looking after my fish. My premises are a working fish room where the glass is not always clean and the floor not always clear. So sorry but this is also a no, I can offer a quick look around if you are coming to pick up a purchase.
cAN YOU LET ME KNOW WHEN THEY ARE READY?
I will do my bestto update the descriptions for each fish whenever I have fryi growing out with a best estimate of when i think they will be ready.
Can you do cheaper for cash?
No, I sell my fish as a registered business.
Can you order me in this fish?
Anything I have for sale will be listed on the website when it becomes available. I do not have spare tanks for buying fish in to add to the list so while I can get all sorts of fish in this will only be offered via the monthly import. Monitor the Imports page to see if what you are looking for shows up.
